Terms & Contacts
Terms and Conditions:
We — and when I write we from now on, I mean The Triforce, the three people behind www.thetriforce.com — are not evil. Of course we’d say that even if we were evil, so we advise you to consider everything you do when you’re dealing us, ever, and particularly to consider what we’re writing on this page, the Terms and Conditions of Three Panel Hollywood (hereafter referred to as 3PH).
All material on this site is published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 2.5 License. All of the rules defined by that licence apply; in addition, so do the legal constraints of The Triforce’s ‘Don’t Be A Dick’ license. The rules of the former are simple and you should follow the link to have them explained to you. The rules of the latter are labyrinthine but essentially mean that we can use the work on this site without permission, and you can’t.
That sounds pretty mean, but I understand some of you have short attention spans and I wanted to explain it quickly before you click away. Please, read the detail and I’ll try and be nicer.
It’s like this: if you want to use something from 3PH and you didn’t make it then you have to ask us, or ask the person who did it, or preferably both. We will probably say yes. But again, you must ask. You were going to anyway, of course, because it is polite. And if you don’t ask us you are BETRAYING our COPYRIGHT and BREAKING our HEARTS. We will get pissy and protect the rights of the people who’ve donated their awesome MS Paint talents for free.
Equally, when you publish something on 3PH you’re giving it to us as a gift, and we’re totally grateful and we reserve the right to use that gratitude as motivation and do something with your amazing work in the future. I don’t mean tattoo it on your first born or post it in public telephone boxes around London with your phone number or anything. We’re not evil. In fact, it’s more than likely we won’t do anything with it. But if we do overcome our laziness and, for example, curate a church full of 3PH art, we’ll give you credit and we’ll use whatever contact details you’ve registered with to tell you what’s happening (and if you don’t like it you can always tell us not to do it, although I’m not sure why you would because it’ll be brilliant because WE’RE NOT EVIL).
Which isn’t to say we don’t want to swim in pools of gold like Scrooge McDuck. If we ever make some money out of this site we promise to throw a party for everyone who’s helped us out. How much money is some? I don’t know. Let’s say 1000 pounds. I’ve literally just made that number up. So there we go. If it happens it will happen.
How can we make money from this site? Anyone know?

3PH is wholly owned by The Triforce. If you want to get in touch the best way is to go through The Triforce Forum, or by emailing a username at thetriforce.com. What are those usernames? Well, this site is run by Alexa, so all enquiries should go to her first. If it’s super important and you’re not getting a reply you could try Ste.
As for individuals responsible for what you’re looking at right now: the concept is copyright The Triforce forever, the visual and technical design is by Ste Curran, not that there’s much of that, and it’s based on a WordPress Theme by Andreas Viklund. All content is created by 3PH users and subject to the licensing agreement above.

Brilliant site but where the fuck is step 6? I’ve just spent 1 hour trying to get a paint posted and the result is 3 empty posts. There is no ‘Send to Editor’ box or ‘Full Size’ marker when I get to step 6. Where did it go? Steps shouldn’t just disappear like that.

I’m not sure what the problem is — everyone else seems to be finding it, but maybe there are browser issues or something. If you want to email it to me I’ll stick it up (and I’ll set it up so people can just generally email them in if they’d rather do that).
